Nutella Hot Chocolate

I recently found this recipe for nutella hot chocolate and fell in love. This is seriously the best hot chocolate i've ever put in my mouth. So, I wanted to share with you my beautiful discovery:

1. Heat milk in microwave or on stove top until steaming.  2. Add two tablespoons of nutella.  3. Stir until nutella has dissolved.  4. 

Add marshmallows if you like. Enjoy!

It's literally that simple. And perfect for this cold weather.  -Lynn :)

High School Life.

Hey!
So I wanted to make a post and just kinda show you what high school has been like for me. I feel like that's all I talk about, but it's kind of consumed my life. Every once in a while, our teachers let us take out our iPods and listen to them. I get to use mine often because I have a card from good grades that gives me the privilege to listen to it when I have any freetime in class, so I take pictures. Some of these are super recent, and some of these are from like the first month or two of school. There will be captions under each picture kind of explaining them. Enjoy!

 So this is Brooklynn. This was like a week ago. In algebra. I love her to death.

This is Kole. This was actually today in Physical Science. He's cool. He didn't wanna take a picture though. And he was dancing.

 This is Laura, Me, and ANTHONY! He's our best friend. Oh & this was homecoming week. So it was game day and we play powderpuff football all day on game day, that's why I look like a tornado attacked me.

 This was like a week ago tooooo. This is Joey. He's awesomeeee. But this is a weird picture of both of us.

 This was a scary movie partyt I went to in early September. I look weird. But yeah. These are all juniors I was with. The one on my right (the super tan one) and the one beside her are two of my good good friends.

 This is sweet Hailey on homecoming night. (Same day as powderpuff.) She was one of the homecoming attendants for the freshman class. I love her to death.

WOAH.

Hey Hey Hey!
Long time no post. I keep saying I'm gonna post more often, but never live up to my word, and I am incredibly sorry! But school is slowing down a bit, so I am going to try and post as much as I can, but don't expect it to be like a lot. Once a week probably. Twice if I get lucky. High school is so time consuming. Goodness gracious. Lynn is lucky to be homeschooled. I wish I was. But then I think about it, and I would probably miss the social aspect of my school. Anyways, Thanksgiving is next week! I'm super excited to see my family that I only see at Thanksgiving and Christmas. So in the Thanksgiving mood, I thought I would tell you a couple things I am thankful for. So here we go.

Things I Am Thankful For:
1. Jesus Christ dying on the cross for my sins.
2. My friends. I couldn't live without them. (Especially Lynn)
3. My family.
4. My youth group/church family. Goodness. These people are the best!
5. Mary Julia. Miss her. I miss her a lot.
6. Lastly, my ability to play guitar and sing.

I am so blessed to live such a privileged life. I am thankful for a lot of things, but those are just a couple! I will have another post up soon I PROMISE! I gotta go write a research paper, but before I go, I want to share these Bible verses with you.

Ecclesiasties 3:1-11: "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal.  time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time of peace. What do people really get for all their hard work? I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made EVERYTHING beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end."

These verses have a strong meaning to me. Just think about them. Verse 11 (in pink) is my favorite of them all. It has stuck with me for the past couple of weeks. Anyways, time to write my research paper! Have an amazing week, and I will post soon!

Update/ Jam of the week and weekend!

Long time no post! High school is CRAZY. I have boatloads of homework every night. But I wante to make a blogpost because I miss posting on here! High School.

Hi guys!
So this week was my first "week" of high school! I put week in quotes because technically, it wasn't a week. I went for a half day Tuesday, I was off Wednesday, and went for full days Thursday & Friday. So I guess we will start from Tuesday. I was super nervous and scared. I had a major stomach ache. I got lost going to my first class, which is Wellness in case you were wondering, it's like gym. Once I finally got there I was really upset because none of my friends were in there and there are bunch of senior football players, so it's kind of awkotaco. So what did I do? I made new friends! :) I went to my second class after that was all over, which is English 1. Didn't get lost. I was super happy about that class, because a bunch of my friends are in there and I get to sit by them. :) Then I went to my third class, Physical Science. Laura is in there, so I love that class. I'm kind of not impressed with that class because there are only like 7 girls and like 4587975 boys. Not really. But a lot of boys and very few girls. Then I went to my last class, which I dreaded, Algebra 1. I have a couple friends in that class, and the teacher is just like my math teacher from last year, who I absolutely LOVED! So half day was okay, could've been better. Thursday. First full day. Really nervous. It stormed really bad Thursday, and our Wellness teacher got stuck in traffic, so we didn't do anything. It was fun. The rest of my classes were pretty boring. We just went over class rules, got paperwork, etc. I found out my Homeroom teacher lived in London for two years!!!! I freaked out to say the least. Friday. AMAZING DAY. I just had so much fun today & hope everyday is like today. I'm really happy with high school. It's fun. I finally feel in place. I'm super excited to see what this year has for me! I will keep you guys updated! Thanks for reading! :)

Bleached Jeans - DIY

I found a pair of plain jean shorts recently and I really wanted to do something with them. I thought about adding lace or fabric, but I didn't want to go to the store. So instead, I decided to bleach them. I absolutely love the way they turned out! Here's a super cheap little tutorial on how I did it. :)

Supplies needed: jeans, bleach, a spray bottle, and plastic wrap to cover your surface.

1. Cover your table or whatever surface with plastic wrap.

2. Fill a spray bottle with bleach and start spraying your jeans. Try spraying more in some areas than others.

3. Let dry and wash by itself or with white colors.

New Design!

HEY! So I decided the blog needed a new look because the old one was getting kind of...old. And I wanted to surprise Lynn when she got home from Haiti! :) I hope she doesn't get mad. I kinda like it. My Summer.

Update & Such.

Hi.
I keep saying I'm coming back, but I always get tied up with something, but I AM BACK. This summer has been CRAZY. I have had so much going on. It was nice finally getting some time to breathe. I was sick with bronchitis these past two weeks, so it's been hard for me to get anything done, but I am better now! :) Also, school starts back for me next Tuesday (the 7th.) I'm starting high school! I'm super excited yet nervous. Lynn is starting high school, too! BUT she's homeschooled, so there is nothing to worry about -- love you Lynn. :) -- I have to get back in the school routine, which means waking up at 5 a.m. and catching the bus at 6:20 a.m.! It's crazy, but I'm ready to get back in the social aspect of things. I'm not cheering this year, so I am going to have a bunch of free time to do DIY's and stuff! I thought that the summer would be better for me to do blogposts, but I slacked majorly. Haha. Sorrrry. I've been looking on pinterest, and I found some cool DIY's I wanna do, so maybe those will be coming soon? My picture taking camera broke, so I will have to figure that out, so I will just make videos I guess. Webcams are my best friend. Haiti!!!

Hey guys! Guess what?? I leave for Haiti this Saturday! I'm so excited. We'll be putting on a VBS for some kids in an orphanage that my church owns and different mission work like that. I've been once before, and i'm so excited to see what God has planned for me this time! Please be praying for safe travels, health, and that everything goes smoothly! Thanks for your support! Update.

Hey guys! It's Lynn. I just thought i'd give you a little update on my life. I recently got back from a one week family reunion in Arizona. It was really fun, we got to ride ATV's, hike mountains, shoot guns, even participate in a parade! I was dressed up as Lady Liberty. :) I really didn't want to leave, the weather was wonderful (no humidity!) and I have a really fun family, but we had to because we had to go to FASA (Fine Arts Summer Academy), which is where I am right now. It's a two-week christian camp where you can choose to do voice, drama, orchestra, dance (which is what i'm doing) and many other fine arts. Then we put on a big show at the end of camp. It's been pretty fun so far, except i'm already exhausted and it's only the third day. I want to sleep right now. Well, now you know why I haven't posted in forever. Where I Have Been!

HEY! 

Long time no talk! I have been going insane in these past few weeks. I went to church camp this past week, and I feel so so so refreshed. God taught me so many things & told me LOTS of things I needed to hear. I am going to tell you about some personal things I've been dealing with, and how God helped me overcome them this week. First off, the speaker was Jordan Easley. One word. AMAZING. I've heard him speak once before and I loved him. & I loved him even more this time. Anyways, lately, I have been struggling with sinning, specifically lying to my parents. I don't know what has gotten into me, but it has totally overtaken me, and I have had to face many many consequences due to it. BUT this past week at camp, no more sin. I repented so much. Confessed so much. My secret sins weren't secrets anymore. I remember praying the third night of camp, "God, I am so messed up. So messed up. I need you more than ever right now. Show me your way, reveal yourself to me. Help me to repent from these sins. Rock my world. Break my heart. Show me how to love like you do, God. I can't take this sin anymore." And right then, when I had my eyes shut, I saw Him. I saw God's face. No doubt. Just in that short moment, my life was changed. And I will NEVER be the same just from that two second glimpse of him. It totally rocked my world. Now, I am going to talk about the worship. Worship is one of my favorite things ever. I love it. I aspire to be a worship leader when I get older. Jordan Reynolds led worship. We pretty much sang the same songs all week, but they were very very powerful. One song in-particular stuck out to me. It is called "Never Once" by Matt Redman.  The lyrics in this song mean so much to me, and say so much that I needed to hear. God revealed himself once again to me through song. Words can't describe the feeling. I get chill bumps thinking about it.

Lastly, I am going to talk about my friends. I made so many new friends while I was there. Unfortunately, my camera is broken, so I didn't get that many pictures, most of these are from other people's cameras. Actually, all of them are I think.

Snapster (:

Hello there! Right before I went to Wyoming, I discovered this app called Snapster. It's amazing. Basically, it's an photo editing app. You can add filters to your pictures, kind of like Instagram, but they have a much bigger variety. Here are some examples of pictures I edited from my trip:

I took most of these on my iPod Touch, which has terrible quality, but after I edited them they don't look so bad. :) Anyways, I just really like the filters on the app and I thought I would share it with you.  -Lynn :)

Long time, no post. I've been EXTREMELY busy this summer. I got out of school May 22, and I haven't had much down time since.
