super cool collage // diy / tutorial

so back to the good ol' days of freshman year at school, i had super boring binders. i really like my binders to be happy and exciting, so maybe just maybe i will be happy for school. not. but still. so one day in my leadership class, my friend kelsey had this super cool amazing collage on her binder and i asked her how she did it. she told me she went to transparent blogs on tumblr. being the tumblr freak i am, i asked kelsey to message me the link to some blogs. and i found some super cool pictures and made my collage. i was super excited about my binders now and got happy taking them to class. i would show you the collages i made, but when school ended, i threw my binders away - so i can't. BUT i can show you how to make one.
things you will need:
*internet
*microsoft word ((you can try paint, but i don't recommend it))
*a printer

LET'S BEGIN

step 1; google transparent blogs tumblr

 my favorite is transparent.tumblah.com
step 2; once you find a picture you like, right click it and save it to your computer. i picked the quote about optimism.

i saved mine as "quote tansparent" & yes, most of the other pictures you see are transparent from that blog.
step 3; open microsoft word.
step 4; hit "insert" at the top and hit "picture."
step 5; pick whatever picture you want to go on.
step 6; right click the picture and hit "wrap text" then hit "tight." this will make it easier to downsize and rotate the picture. do this with all of them.
step 7; once it's done, print it out & put it wherever!
here's what mine looked like. it took me FOREVER to get it in picture form.

i know school is coming to an end for you, so this may not apply right now, but you can do SO MUCH with this! save it for next school year .

i hope you enjoy making this as much as i did!
love you all!

messy bun / hair tutorial

I haven't made a tutorial in a while, so i randomly decided to make this video on how i do my messy buns.  you have to have fairly long hair to do this and it works best when your hair isn't stick straight.  enjoy!

ps. the song in this video is "Death and All His Friends" by Coldplay

Sweet Summertime

Summer has finally begun for me, and since it started, I have had some fun times taking pictures. Summer break started for me on Thursday, May 23 if you were wondering. Anyways, Laura came over on that Thursday after we finished exams (we can leave as soon as we finish our first and second block exams as long as we are passing all of our classes and have no missing work - so we leave at 11 like most everyone else), she just rode home with me. Summer calls for many failures of jumping on the trampoline pictures. And my pool isn't open yet (ugh) sooooo there would be pictures from that too, if it was open. Which it's not so whatevs. So here are some pictures from just the last week.
This one is probably my favorite.

My favorite summer shoes. I love them. A lot.

Just a tree.

A video Laura & I filmed for our YouTube channel. I will have a link to it at the end of this post as soon as it finishes uploading!

 Idk.

 I'm literally laughing at myself.

So I've just gotten a taste of this summer, but with the One Direction concert coming up, and many other exciting things I have planned, there will be more pictures.
I'M SO EXCITED.
Love you all!

True Images - Week 1

I want to begin this new series on the blog each Tuesday called "True Images." I got the name from my Bible, because that's the name of my Bible, and thought it fit perfectly. Each week I will turn to a random verse in my Bible and pray over that verse and make a blog post about it and what it means to me, how I relate to it, what it taught me, and in the end I will challenge you and challenge myself. I am super excited about this series, and can't wait to see what it does in my life and yours. You will be taking this spiritual journey with me as I grow closer to God and grow a stronger faith with God not only through this, but in my personal time. I don't know how long this series will last, I am just doing it until I feel in my heart it's time to stop it. With that being said, lets begin.

True Images - Week 1.

Ecclesiastes 11:10
"So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless." (NIV)

This verse relates to me very much. I struggle with anxiety often, but don't show it. I mostly struggle before I take a test or during a test. I will worry that I won't do well, or I am not trying my best and  that I am gonna let myself down. I always pray before I take a test, but it never helps me. I worry a lot, too. Way too much. When one of my family members goes on a plane, I make sure they talk to me when they land so I know they are safe because I am worried for them. Worry is a good thing - to a certain extent. I have always been hesitant to cast my anxiety and worries to God, I just kept it in me, which is not a good thing to do. The verse says to BANISH your anxiety from your heart and to "cast off the troubles of your body." We shouldn't be afraid to give our struggles, worries, and anxiety to God. We know what he can do, so why are we hesitant? God is so so mighty, and we know that he will answer our prayers in his timing, so why don't we pray to him about our worries and anxiety?
My challenge for you and myself this week is to cast at least one of your worries to God a day. We can do this.

Love you all!

ootd: amish edition

// dress: ross, cardigan: thrifted, headband: claire's, shoes: academy //

Over the weekend, i discovered that i really like maxi dresses.  i went to a wedding in mississippi and i wore a maxi to both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, and both days i was so comfortable.  my dad kept calling me amish, but i didn't mind.  in fact, i don't think i would mind becoming amish if it meant i could wear comfy dresses all day.  so fair warning: you will probably be seeing me in maxi dresses quite a bit.

i hope your days are starting to look like summer!  i know mine are.

Spring Concert

Just wanted to share some backstage photos from my Spring Concert last weekend.  most of these are of my friends, because i was usually behind the camera, but i was able to get a picture with Kaitlyn!  i'm so glad she could come.  it's always so much fun performing, i wish it wouldn't end so quickly.
