Microwave Ice Cream

I just recently learned that not everyone microwaves their ice cream (say whaaaaat?)  I have been microwaving my ice cream since as long as I can remember.  So this post is for those of you who have no idea what i'm talking about.

Basically, put your ice cream in the microwave for about 10 seconds or until it's soft. It makes it so much easier to scoop and will probably change your life forever.

So there you go, next time you find yourself struggling with scooping your ice cream, zap it in the microwave.  It works, trust me.   ~Lynn

DIY Hair Bow

Hi everyone! Lynn here. Long time no see, eh? Yeah, sorry about that. But i'm here to share a little DIY project, so enjoy!

Supplies needed: Fabric, sewing machine or needle and thread, hot glue gun (optional), scissors and a hair clip.

1. Lay piece of fabric (mine was 4" x 6") upside down and fold both ends toward center.

2. Fold in half and sew ends together. Turn right side out.

3. Repeat steps 2 & 3 on a smaller piece of fabric (mine was 2½" x 3½").

4. Slide smaller fabric piece around the larger one to the center. You might have to mess with it a little to make it look how you want.

5. Cut a small rectangle of felt and clamp the hair clip onto it.  Hot glue felt/hair clip onto bow.

You now have a snazzy new hair accessory! I hope your February has started off great, happy weekend!  xo. Lynn

Hi...

I sit here.
Ashamed.
Because I keep promising you guys that I am gonna make more blog posts then something always happens and I just can't. I really do have an excuse this time though. One word. School. When I posted my last blog post, I didn't realize how close finals were. Finals stress me out to the max. But I'm in a new semester, and HOPEFULLY it's gonna be easier. I can't promise it. And I got a new camera for Christmas (yay!) so I will be able to take good pictures now. If you weren't aware, I dropped my camera in a river last summer and it broke, so I haven't been able to take pictures except with my iPod. And we all know that iPods don't have the greatest quality on the camera. And then my computer broke. Then it was fixed. And now it's broken again. So I'm using my mom's. It's a very rare occasion that she lets me use her computer. SO. That's a little update on me. OH I got my braces off! YAY. Okay so I'm gonna go ahead and do a "Jam(s) of the Week" while I can. I have multiple songs today because I have recently found a bunch of good music, and it is only right for me to share it with you! It will be below.

"Jam(s) of the Week"

 

This song is rather old, but I love love it. It's called "A Drop in the Ocean" by Ron Pope. It's just so sweet and amazing.

I'm sure you've heard this song before. This is "Too Close" by Alex Clare. AHHH. I love this song. It's kind of dubstep-y. I like dubstep.

I love this song! This is "Got Me Good" by Cody Simpson. This song is great.

I know, I know. One Direction. This song is amazing though. This is called "Over Again" it's so pretty. you should listen to it.

This song is called "Magic" also by One Direction. This song is so upbeat and awesome.

Lastly, this is by a band called Anthem Lights. Lynn introduced me to them, and I have recently been kind of obsessed with them. When they posted this I freaked. This is a mashup of some of the most popular songs from 2012 and its amazing. So you should listen to it.

Nutella Hot Chocolate

I recently found this recipe for nutella hot chocolate and fell in love. This is seriously the best hot chocolate i've ever put in my mouth. So, I wanted to share with you my beautiful discovery:

1. Heat milk in microwave or on stove top until steaming.  2. Add two tablespoons of nutella.  3. Stir until nutella has dissolved.  4. 

Add marshmallows if you like. Enjoy!

It's literally that simple. And perfect for this cold weather.  -Lynn :)

P.S. I'm so sorry that I haven't post in so long! Ballet has pretty much consumed up my life. But i'll try to do better!

High School Life.

Hey!
So I wanted to make a post and just kinda show you what high school has been like for me. I feel like that's all I talk about, but it's kind of consumed my life. Every once in a while, our teachers let us take out our iPods and listen to them. I get to use mine often because I have a card from good grades that gives me the privilege to listen to it when I have any freetime in class, so I take pictures. Some of these are super recent, and some of these are from like the first month or two of school. There will be captions under each picture kind of explaining them. Enjoy!

 So this is Brooklynn. This was like a week ago. In algebra. I love her to death.

This is Kole. This was actually today in Physical Science. He's cool. He didn't wanna take a picture though. And he was dancing.

 This is Laura, Me, and ANTHONY! He's our best friend. Oh & this was homecoming week. So it was game day and we play powderpuff football all day on game day, that's why I look like a tornado attacked me.

 This was like a week ago tooooo. This is Joey. He's awesomeeee. But this is a weird picture of both of us.

 This is Naimisha. :) Homecoming week again. She's precious. Shelby's a creeper in the back. I look tall in this picture. But i'm not tall at all. Ask anyone.

 This was a scary movie partyt I went to in early September. I look weird. But yeah. These are all juniors I was with. The one on my right (the super tan one) and the one beside her are two of my good good friends.

 This is sweet Hailey on homecoming night. (Same day as powderpuff.) She was one of the homecoming attendants for the freshman class. I love her to death.

WOAH.

Hey Hey Hey!
Long time no post. I keep saying I'm gonna post more often, but never live up to my word, and I am incredibly sorry! But school is slowing down a bit, so I am going to try and post as much as I can, but don't expect it to be like a lot. Once a week probably. Twice if I get lucky. High school is so time consuming. Goodness gracious. Lynn is lucky to be homeschooled. I wish I was. But then I think about it, and I would probably miss the social aspect of my school. Anyways, Thanksgiving is next week! I'm super excited to see my family that I only see at Thanksgiving and Christmas. So in the Thanksgiving mood, I thought I would tell you a couple things I am thankful for. So here we go.

Things I Am Thankful For:
1. Jesus Christ dying on the cross for my sins.
2. My friends. I couldn't live without them. (Especially Lynn)
3. My family.
4. My youth group/church family. Goodness. These people are the best!
5. Mary Julia. Miss her. I miss her a lot.
6. Lastly, my ability to play guitar and sing.

I am so blessed to live such a privileged life. I am thankful for a lot of things, but those are just a couple! I will have another post up soon I PROMISE! I gotta go write a research paper, but before I go, I want to share these Bible verses with you.

Ecclesiasties 3:1-11: "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal.  time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time of peace. What do people really get for all their hard work? I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made EVERYTHING beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end."

These verses have a strong meaning to me. Just think about them. Verse 11 (in pink) is my favorite of them all. It has stuck with me for the past couple of weeks. Anyways, time to write my research paper! Have an amazing week, and I will post soon!
